Meta Reality Labs is seeking an experienced Audio Systems Engineer to join their Audio Experience Team, focusing on developing cutting-edge audio capture systems for AR/VR products. This role combines hardware and software expertise to create innovative audio solutions for Meta's next-generation devices.

The position involves working with microphone array architectures, electroacoustics, and signal processing to develop audio capture systems for smart glasses and AR/VR experiences. Responsibilities For Audio Systems Engineer

  • Analyze, define, tune, and debug real-time audio capture systems for forward-looking products
  • Identify and implement new technologies to improve microphone array performance
  • Define capture system architecture, algorithms, and tools with developers
  • Evaluate and benchmark performance of third party audio capture algorithms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative solutions
  • Maintain familiarity with digital signal processing platforms

Requirements For Audio Systems Engineer

Python
  • 4+ years of experience defining, tuning, and testing microphone-array processing
  • 4+ years of experience defining and prototyping audio experiences
  • 4+ years experience designing test methodologies for consumer electronics
  • 4+ years experience with audio test systems
  • Familiarity with DSP building blocks
  • Working knowledge with MATLAB, Python
  • B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Acoustics, or equivalent
