Meta is seeking an experienced Connectivity Engineer to join their Design Engineering and Construction (DEC) team, focusing on data center infrastructure. This role combines technical expertise with project management in a mission-critical environment.

The position involves managing telecommunications projects from inception to completion in Meta's data centers, ensuring they're delivered on schedule, within budget, and meeting quality standards. The engineer will be responsible for both outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) connectivity activities, working closely with construction partners and cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities include project planning and control, technical leadership, quality assurance, and vendor management. The role requires strong technical knowledge of fiber optic systems, structured cabling, and network infrastructure, combined with project management expertise. The successful candidate will lead installations, perform quality inspections, and ensure compliance with Meta's standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities For Connectivity Engineer, Leased Data Centers

  • Create, maintain, and report on site project and program scope, schedules and milestones
  • Review ongoing projects for efficiencies in schedule, budget, and opportunities
  • Support project controls team with forecasting and budget efforts
  • Establish milestones for equipment purchase and track progress
  • Report progress and risks on site projects to key stakeholders
  • Manage connectivity activities within construction projects
  • Perform physical inspections to ensure vendor work meets quality standards
  • Lead technical aspects of industry and Meta standards
  • Coordinate with logistics partners, vendors, and suppliers
  • Ensure vendors adhere to safety obligations
