Description For Research Engineer - AR/VR Input and Interaction

Meta's Reality Labs Research (RL-R) is seeking a Research Engineer to help define and deliver innovative input and interaction solutions for virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences. This role sits at the intersection of human-computer interaction, machine learning, signal processing, and wearable technology. Responsibilities For Research Engineer - AR/VR Input and Interaction

  • Partner closely with research scientists to execute advanced novel sensing, signal processing, and sensor fusion solutions
  • Explore, experiment with, build and evaluate forward-looking interactions enabled by novel hardware and sensing technologies
  • Design and implement experiences to explore input and interaction solutions
  • Learn constantly and educate others in a collaborative research environment

Requirements For Research Engineer - AR/VR Input and Interaction

  • 5+ years experience in development of real-time interactive solutions in AR/VR, graphics, gaming, UI/UX/HCI
  • 5+ years experience developing in C/C++
  • Experience applying machine learning, optimization, or statistical inference to interactive problems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
