#4 Founding Engineer

Meticulous is revolutionizing software development with their automated UI bug detection system. As their #4 founding engineer, you'll join a London-based YC company backed by industry leaders like Guillermo Rauch (Vercel), Jason Warner (GitHub), and Scott Belsky (Adobe).

The role offers significant autonomy in building transformative technology. You'll work on challenging problems like:

• Developing distributed systems for concurrent session replay
• Optimizing session replay while maintaining determinism
• Creating algorithms for intelligent session selection and edge case detection
• Building a world-class engineering team

The ideal candidate should be technically brilliant and collaborative, with experience in TypeScript/JavaScript. However, raw technical talent matters more than specific technology experience. You should have a deep passion for software engineering, possibly demonstrated through interest in books like Clean Code or side projects.

Meticulous's technology works by recording real user sessions through a JavaScript snippet, then replaying these sessions against new code to automatically detect UI bugs before production. This is just the beginning - they envision building various products on top of replay technology, from automatic UI previews to frontend performance impact analysis.
