Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Global Senior CE Application Service Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial in delivering core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.
As a Global Senior CE Application Service Engineer, you will serve as the subject matter expert for data center Building Automation (BAS) OR Electrical Power Monitoring system (EPMS). Your responsibilities include applications support, service management, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, optimization, and security of the control system. You'll analyze controls monitoring data to proactively identify issues and provide optimization to controls standards to increase availability, efficiency, and sustainability.
The position is part of the global Datacenter Monitoring and Controls Engineering (DMCE) team, where you'll work with a technically diverse team to contribute to many aspects of control systems – execution, telemetry, security, service, operations, and optimization. Microsoft's infrastructure comprises a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters in 32 countries and millions of servers, supporting services for more than 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses worldwide.
The role offers significant flexibility with up to 100% remote work options. You'll be based in one of the hub locations: Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX, or Phoenix, AZ. The position requires a strong background in software engineering, particularly in building automation systems and electrical power monitoring systems.
