Description For Member of Technical Staff, Platform Engineer

Microsoft AI (MAI) is seeking experienced Platform Engineers to help build the next wave of capabilities for their personal AI, Copilot. This role is part of Microsoft's ambitious vision to build systems with true artificial intelligence across agents, applications, services, and infrastructure. The Platform Engineering team is responsible for developing APIs that support finetuning and deploying the core Copilot experience.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in backend technologies, distributed systems, and AI/ML platforms. They should have experience building scalable services on cloud infrastructure and working with machine learning frameworks. The role requires both technical prowess and strong collaboration skills to work effectively with Product Management, Design, and AI Research teams.
