Senior Silicon Engineer

Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) is seeking a Senior Silicon Engineer for ASIC verification in the Data Processing Unit team. This role involves validating silicon solutions for complex datacenter problems and working with the architecture team to develop programmable silicon implementations.

The position offers an opportunity to work on Microsoft's expanding Cloud Infrastructure, powering over 200 online businesses including Azure, Office 365, Xbox Live, and Teams. You'll be part of the team responsible for delivering core infrastructure and foundational technologies globally.

As a Senior Silicon Engineer, you'll:

• Lead functional validation of complex ASIC SOC using UVM/C test bench
• Perform pre-silicon SoC verification and post-silicon validation
• Work with cross-functional teams on project execution
• Develop test plans and infrastructure for functional validation
• Participate in chip bring-up and firmware development
• Coach and mentor team members
