Description For Service Engineer IC4

Microsoft is seeking a talented Service Engineer IC4 to join their Azure Platform Operations Support team, focusing on operations support and integration between Sovereign and public clouds. This role is central to Microsoft's mission of making Azure the world's computer to tackle the hardest problems on the planet. The position offers an unparalleled opportunity to shape cloud operations strategy for Azure, particularly in supporting hyperscale cloud services for regulated customers worldwide.

The role involves designing and supporting incident management workflows, providing operations training and leadership, driving cloud excellence across Sovereign Clouds, and partnering with engineering teams for root cause analysis. You'll be responsible for ensuring the delivery of standard operations models across different sovereign clouds while maintaining security and efficiency.

As a Service Operations Manager, you'll work with stakeholders to understand their needs, define operational frameworks, and drive continuous improvement in Azure Operations. The position requires expertise in distributed systems, critical production service environments, and strong problem-solving abilities. You'll be at the forefront of building and leveraging Azure services while working closely with Azure Global Leadership.

The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of technical experience in software engineering or systems engineering, strong knowledge of system and service management, and experience with Azure or equivalent hyperscale cloud technologies.   • Design and support Incident management workflows across cloud boundaries
  • Provide Knowledge Management, Operations training, and leadership
  • Drive cloud excellence and alignment across Sovereign Clouds
  • Partner with engineering teams to conduct root cause analyses
  • Track and coordinate end-to-end project schedules
  • Manage governance of programs and processes
  • Support partner Cloud Ownership Entities to improve Azure Operations

Requirements For Service Engineer IC4

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3+ years technical experience in software engineering or systems engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of system and service management
  • Experience with Azure or equivalent hyperscale cloud technologies
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in large distributed IT environments
  • ITIL certification V3 or above preferred
  • Experience in DevOps lifecycle preferred
  • Experience in Kusto / data visualization preferred
