The Strategic Missions and Technologies (SMT) division at Microsoft focuses on incubating next-generation technology solutions with transformative potential for cloud computing, including engineering and research for advanced AI and quantum computing. The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) office within SMT develops operational prototypes and demonstrations of AI for customer-driven use cases, partnering with product teams to scale prototypes into products.

As a Software Engineer in this role, you'll be working on accelerating efforts to deliver advanced AI techniques for scientific discovery. The position requires expertise in cloud service development, scalability engineering, and C# development. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing AI-driven services, enhancing AI quality, analyzing metrics for customer insights, managing operational issues, and driving continuous improvement.
