Microsoft is seeking a Support Engineer for their Developer & Azure Services (DAS) team in Japan. This role combines technical expertise with customer service excellence, focusing on supporting Microsoft's cloud and development technologies. As part of CSS (Customer Service & Support) organization, which has over 14,000 support engineers worldwide handling more than 5 million support cases monthly, you'll be joining a dynamic global team.

The position requires deep technical knowledge in areas including Azure services, .NET development, and cloud infrastructure. You'll work with enterprise customers to resolve complex technical issues, debug applications, and provide guidance on best practices. The role involves both direct customer support and collaboration with global engineering teams to improve product quality.

Key technologies you'll work with include Azure App Services, .NET Core, Azure Monitoring, DevOps tools, and various Azure PaaS services. You'll need strong programming skills in languages like C#, Java, or Python, plus experience with cloud platforms and debugging tools.   • Provide technical support via phone (20%) and email/web (80%)
  • Collaborate with global support engineers, managers, and development teams
  • Analyze problems using trace analysis, debugging skills, and troubleshooting tools
  • Create sample code and provide solutions for complex technical issues
  • Report product bugs and request fixes from development teams
  • Contribute to case deflection and automation initiatives
  • Provide training and mentoring to other engineers
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency support
