Responsibilities For Staff Security Engineer
- Identify security issues, implement and design security controls, tools, and services
- Conduct product security assessments and threat modeling
- Identify and remediate application vulnerabilities within code
- Research novel security threats and vulnerabilities
- Develop new security standards and playbooks
- Lead and execute incident response simulations
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other security engineers
Requirements For Staff Security Engineer
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity
- Strong expertise with information security incidents and threat assessments
- Experience in application security vulnerability triage
- Knowledge of log analysis and forensics
- High Proficiency in Python or Go
- Strong understanding of public cloud environments (GCP and AWS)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, NIST-CSF, ISO-27001)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience (preferred)
- Advanced cybersecurity certifications (preferred)
- Offensive Security or Pentesting Experience (preferred)
