This role sits within the Studio & Creative Production Data Engineering team, focusing on building data-driven workflow tools that shape the future of content production at a global scale. The position combines advanced data engineering with machine learning applications, working on novel datasets including media like artwork and video.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in computer vision, graphics, and machine learning to enable creators to tell better stories while scaling studio operations. You'll be developing performant data interfaces that power statistical and machine learning-based features in high-visibility internal Studio Creative Production workflow applications.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering, with strong skills in Java and Python, and expertise in distributed systems and large-scale data processing. You'll work alongside data scientists and product managers, developing end-to-end data solutions and serving as a key thought partner for stakeholders.

Responsibilities For Data Engineer (L5) - Content Production & Promotion

  • Work with data scientists, application developers, and product managers to develop performant data interfaces
  • Serve as thought partner for stakeholders regarding large datasets and system architectures
  • Develop end-to-end data solutions, from data sourcing to data service development
  • Engage with Data Engineering and ML community internally and externally

Requirements For Data Engineer (L5) - Content Production & Promotion

Java
Python
  • Strong programming skills in Java and Python
  • Experience with distributed OLAP datastores like Druid or Pinot
  • Experience with developing data pipelines in distributed frameworks like Spark
  • Strong foundation in distributed system architecture and large scale data processing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 4+ years of full-time work experience in SWE/Data Engineering roles
  • Collaborative and able to thrive in fast-paced environments
