Description For Field Service Engineer - Romford

Field Service Engineer / Field Support Technician role at nGeneration, a well-established company delivering technical services and hardware for the Retail and Hospitality Industry. The role involves installing, integrating, and testing EPoS hardware and software applications, as well as supporting and troubleshooting electronic/technical devices.

Key details:

  • Salary: £27,057 per annum (Including On-Call Supplement)
  • Full-Time, Permanent position
  • 13 Hour Shifts, 3 Days on 3 Days off rota basis (inclusive of weekends and bank holidays)
  • Locations: North East, North West, Central, South East & South West (UK-wide travel required)
  • Full UK Manual Driver's License essential

Responsibilities:

  • Visit customer sites to install, refurbish, and maintain various types of technical equipment
  • Conduct site surveys and audits for clients
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical, hardware, or software issues
  • Setup Wi-Fi devices and identify faults with data network cables
  • Document troubleshooting steps and actions

Requirements:

  • Experience in IT Technical Support, Electronic Equipment Installation, Telecoms or Broadband Engineering
  • Technical mindset with a logical approach to troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Willingness to travel daily and for overnight stays
