Nitrode is revolutionizing game development with an AI-powered game engine and platform that transforms months of work into days. As a founding engineer, you'll work directly with the founding team to reshape how games are made, spanning from core engine logic to AI-powered automation tools.

The role demands expertise in large, multithreaded C++ codebases and experience with major game engines like Unity or Unreal. You'll be responsible for core systems development, AI tool integration, and building cross-platform solutions that enable rapid game creation.

This is a unique opportunity to join a YC-funded startup at the intersection of AI and game development. You'll have massive ownership in defining the architecture of a new game engine that aims to democratize game development. The company's mission is to supercharge developers into experts, breaking traditional development timelines.

The ideal candidate has shipped multiple games or real-time interactive applications, understands full development lifecycles, and brings startup energy. You'll be working on everything from engine optimization to building intuitive interfaces for creators. Additional experience in game design or contributions to open-source game tools is highly valued.
