Description For Data Scientist (Applied Machine Learning)

Nory is a fast-growing technology company that recently completed their Series A funding round led by Accel. With a team of 50+ across Ireland, the UK, and Spain, they're on a mission to revolutionize the hospitality industry. The company was founded by Conor, who previously scaled Mad Egg, one of Ireland's fastest-growing restaurant groups. Drawing from his firsthand experience with the limitations of existing restaurant management systems, he created Nory to provide an integrated solution.

They're seeking a Machine Learning Specialist to join their newly formed data team. This role combines both research and engineering aspects of ML, making it ideal for someone passionate about owning the algorithm development process from conception to production. The work involves a mixture of classical ML and operations research problems, with ongoing research for new product features.

The position offers flexibility with remote work options within GMT +1 or hybrid arrangements from their Dublin or Holborn offices. The role requires strong Python programming skills, practical experience in deploying ML algorithms, and a scientific approach to problem-solving. The company provides comprehensive benefits including equity, generous vacation time, health insurance, and professional development opportunities.

Nory emphasizes their commitment to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. They're experiencing rapid growth and can barely keep up with demand, making it an exciting time to join the team.
