NVIDIA, the world leader in accelerated computing, is seeking a Physical Layer Firmware Architecture Engineer to join their networking architecture group. This role is crucial in developing silicon ASICs for networking infrastructure, focusing on efficient physical high-speed communication. As a lead engineer, you'll be responsible for defining and driving features for physical layer architecture, working with both hardware and firmware/software components. Responsibilities For Physical Layer Firmware Architecture Engineer

  • Lead projects across team, translating customer requirements into technical specifications
  • Supervise implementation by team-leaders/developers/QA
  • Define architecture for physical layer standards in NVIDIA's ASIC devices
  • Participate in standard bodies activities and next generation protocols definition
  • Define features for the phy layer
  • Work with multi-functional teams on architecture definitions
  • Serve as focal point for NVIDIA's physical layer networking communication devices

Requirements For Physical Layer Firmware Architecture Engineer

  • BSc or MSc degree in EE
  • 3+ years experience in Physical layer communication/System/Signal Integrity/high speed communication protocols
  • Excellent problem solving, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Background in embedded software
  • Experience in networking
  • Experience in Wire Line Physical layer protocols (IEEE 802.3, InfiniBand, PCIe, USB)
  • Communication skills and analytical abilities
