OpenAI is seeking an exceptional Security Engineer for their Offensive Security team to strengthen their security posture. Responsibilities For Security Engineer, Offensive Security
- Conduct open-scope red and purple team operations
- Collaborate with defensive security teams
- Perform penetration testing on products
- Leverage automation and OpenAI technologies

- Assess complex technology stacks
- Identify and resolve vulnerabilities in complex codebases
Requirements For Security Engineer, Offensive Security
- 7+ years of hands-on red team experience or equivalent expertise
- Deep expertise in offensive security operations within modern technology companies
- Experience with Azure or other hyperscaler cloud environments
- Expertise in assessing Kubernetes clusters, containers, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub security
- Proficiency with macOS and Linux operating systems
- Strong code review skills
- Excellent coding abilities for offensive operations automation
- Strong understanding of trust boundaries and risk assessment
- Effective communication skills
- Active U.S. Government Security Clearance or eligibility (desired)
- Experience testing AI-driven systems (desired)
- Background in AI or data science (desired)
