Our Oracle SaaS Service Excellence Team is developing a cutting-edge AI platform designed to elevate and optimize our world-class SaaS operations. This new platform will provide advanced AI capabilities for service excellence. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Principal Applications Engineer with 6 to 10+ years of experience to join our team.
The role combines advanced software engineering with AI/ML integration, requiring expertise in Java/Python programming, database technologies, and full-stack development. You'll be working on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable AI-enabled software solutions while technically leading a team of talented engineers.
As a Principal Applications Engineer, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and drive technical decisions. Responsibilities For Applications Developer 4
- Architect, design and implement complex systems using Java and Python
- Work across the entire stack, from front-end to back-end systems
- Design, implement, and optimize database systems
- Collaborate with data scientists to integrate AI/ML models
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Create technical documentation and provide clear communication
- Drive technical decisions and mentor junior developers
- Technically lead the team of engineers
- Research and adopt best practices in AI and software engineering
Requirements For Applications Developer 4
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent (Master in AI/Data science is a plus)
- 6 to 10 years of professional experience in software engineering
- Strong proficiency in Java and Python
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Scikit-learn)
- Full-stack development experience with frameworks like React, Angular, Node.js, Spring Boot, or Django
- Strong database design and programming knowledge
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Strong technical and leadership skills
