Autonomous Database Engineer (Cloud DBA & DevOps) - UK

The Autonomous Database Team at Oracle is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to join their cloud service framework team. This role combines database administration, DevOps, and cloud engineering to support Oracle's Autonomous Database cloud services including ADW and ATP.

You'll be working on a framework that automates deployment, scaling, and management of databases in the cloud, built on Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The position offers a unique opportunity to impact Oracle's full technology stack, from database kernel to cloud services and customer-facing portals.

As an Autonomous Database Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Managing and maintaining cloud database services across regions
• Implementing automation and self-healing mechanisms
• Troubleshooting complex production issues
• Working with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service reliability
• Interfacing with senior management and various delivery teams

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in:

• Oracle Database technologies (RAC, Dataguard, ASM, RMAN)
• Linux systems administration
• Cloud computing architecture
• Python, Shell scripting, SQL, and Terraform
• DevOps practices and continuous deployment
