Autonomous Database Engineer (Cloud DBA & DevOps) - UK

The Autonomous Database Team at Oracle is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to join their cloud services framework team. This role combines DevOps practices with database expertise, focusing on building and maintaining Oracle's Autonomous Database cloud services including ADW and ATP.

As an Autonomous Database Engineer, you'll be part of the team responsible for automating deployment, scaling, and management of databases in the cloud, built on Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The position offers a unique opportunity to work across the full technology stack, from database kernel to cloud service platform and customer-facing portals.

The role requires deep expertise in database operations, cloud architecture, and DevOps practices. You'll be responsible for deploying fixes, managing production operations, and ensuring optimal performance of the Autonomous Database service. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior management to maintain compliance and reliability in a growing regulatory environment.

Key responsibilities include managing cloud database services, implementing automation and monitoring solutions, and ensuring system reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Linux, Oracle Database technologies (RAC, Dataguard, ASM, RMAN), and development skills in Python, SQL, and Terraform.
