The Oracle Government Defense & Intelligence (GDI) Cloud Adoption Engineer position is a highly visible and influential individual contributor role within the Cloud Solution Engineering job family. This role requires a passion for technology, curiosity, and willingness to learn new skills and work with new tools to solve complex technical challenges in an increasingly cloud-based world. The position will be based in the Washington D.C. area, and candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Secret / Top-Secret Security Clearance with Poly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing rapid assessments of customer's internal technology & skills landscape
- Targeting use cases and deployment strategies for Oracle Cloud solutions
- Onboarding Oracle customers and partners to the Cloud
- Providing ongoing technical implementation assistance
- Ensuring successful delivery and adoption of best practices across the entire Cloud lifecycle
- Ensuring customer applications and databases are successfully built, migrated, and integrated in the Cloud
The ideal candidate will have:
- 8+ years of experience with large enterprise/cloud-level information technology, cyber security, and compliance
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), or related experience from AWS or Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge of cloud migration strategies and methods
- Solid technical knowledge in Cloud networking, compute services, operating systems, storage, and virtualization technologies
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, Cloud Native Deployments, and DevOps Pipelines
- Networking & Security experience
- Knowledge of US government contract and system accreditation processes
- Relevant certifications such as OCI Associate Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Azure certifications
