Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer to join their team in Japan. This role combines system administration, incident command, customer support, and NOC engineering disciplines. As part of the Engineering organization, you'll be the bridge between product engineering and partners, acting as the voice of the customer to influence product features and improve customer experience.
The position involves working in a 24/7 shift rotation environment, handling three major responsibilities: troubleshooting customer requests, managing incidents that might affect customers, and gate-keeping changes for customer's dedicated regions. You'll be working with both Japanese customers (requiring N2+ level Japanese) and internal global teams in English.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 3-5+ years of experience in cloud technical support, particularly with platforms like OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP. The role offers the chance to work with enterprise-level customers while being part of Oracle's world-class cloud infrastructure team. You'll be involved in complex problem-solving, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of support processes.
The position offers competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision insurance, and retirement options. Oracle promotes work-life balance and provides opportunities for professional growth within a global technology leader. While the role requires shift work including weekends and holidays, it offers the chance to work with cutting-edge cloud technology and influence product development directly.
