DevOps Software Engineer

Oracle is seeking a Senior DevOps Software Engineer to join their Systems Lab Operations (LabOps) team. This role focuses on developing software solutions for configuring and managing IT environments that enable product development for Oracle Linux, Virtualization, Cloud, Solaris, and Engineered Systems. The position combines software development expertise with systems administration knowledge to automate routine tasks and implement infrastructure as code solutions.

Key responsibilities include re-architecting systems administration processes, developing scalable cloud solutions, and ensuring consistent support processes. The role requires expertise in cloud technologies, security principles, and experience with both on-premises and cloud resources. The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of web service design patterns, containerization, and modern DevOps practices.

Technical requirements include proficiency in Enterprise Java, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools. Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet is essential. The role also demands familiarity with system administration (Linux/Solaris) and code repository management.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $96,800 to $223,400 per annum, plus potential bonuses and equity.
