Description For Hardware Developer 2

Oracle is seeking a Hardware Developer 2 to join their team in Burlington, MA. This role involves evaluating the reliability of materials, properties, and techniques used in production, as well as planning, designing, and developing electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, mechanical systems, equipment and packaging, optical systems, and DSP systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating electronic, electro-mechanical, or mechanical components, assemblies, or integrated circuitry for hardware systems for the external market.
  2. Engaging in new design and modification activities that result in significant product enhancement.
  3. Performing design, analysis, testing, and process development using engineering principles and methods.

Technical focus areas:

  • High-speed interface SI design on industry standard system platforms
  • Lab measurements, debugging, and SI lab correlation using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and VNA
  • Circuit design, board and packaging technology & design, link architecture, and timing budget methodologies
  • PDN evaluation using layout extraction tools for packages and PCBs and spice-based time domain simulations
  • Working with industry standards such as PCI Express, USB, DDR5, LVDS, and Ethernet
  • Proficiency in Cadence, ANSYS, and HFSS
