Oracle America, Inc. is seeking a Hardware Developer 4 to join their team. This role involves evaluating reliability of materials and designing electronic components for hardware systems. The position combines hardware development with electrical engineering expertise, focusing on critical infrastructure and electrical systems.

The ideal candidate will work on designing and developing electronic parts, integrated circuitry, and mechanical systems while ensuring proper electrical load distribution and system maintenance. This role requires expertise in critical electrical equipment including paralleling switchgear, UPS systems, and standby diesel generators.

As a Hardware Developer 4, you'll be responsible for both new designs and significant product enhancements, using engineering principles for design, analysis, and testing. The role encompasses various technical disciplines including electrical design, mechanical design, and embedded software development.

Responsibilities For Hardware Developer 4

  • Evaluate reliability of materials, properties and techniques used in production
  • Plan, design and develop electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry
  • Design mechanical systems, equipment and packaging
  • Develop optical systems and/or DSP systems
  • Design, analyze, test and develop processes using engineering principles
  • Design printed circuits and electronics enclosures
  • Develop integrated circuit packaging
  • Create embedded software/firmware design

Requirements For Hardware Developer 4

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience
  • Critical Facility Electrical Engineering experience
  • Experience with change management of critical infrastructure
  • Design Electrical Equipment expertise
  • Knowledge of electrical load distribution and balancing
  • Expertise in critical electrical equipment
  • Construction techniques and documentation interpretation
  • Proficiency in load flow, short circuit, TCC coordination studies
  • Experience with software tools: SKM, ETAP, Bluebeam, MicroStation, and Microsoft office tools
