Description For Hardware Engineer - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

Oracle is seeking a Hardware Engineer for their Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team. This is a New College Grad Role intended for current students (BS/MS/PhD) OR graduates within 12 months of the start date. The position is located in Santa Clara, CA or Burlington, MA. As a Hardware Validation Engineer, you will work closely with teams to define, design, and integrate the next generation of Oracle's Cloud servers and systems. You'll gain expertise using advanced high-speed test equipment and post-processing analysis applications to qualify the latest server designs. The role involves working with cutting-edge technology, conducting thorough validation of hardware platforms, and collaborating with various internal teams and external partners. Responsibilities For Hardware Engineer - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

  • Use advanced high-speed test equipment for server design qualification
  • Conduct validation of hardware platforms for Oracle's Cloud and Engineered Systems
  • Participate in design reviews and generate test plans
  • Apply measurement techniques and utilize lab equipment
  • Conduct signal analysis and processing, focusing on digital systems
  • Apply high-frequency design techniques and run high speed IO tests
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
  • Stay updated on market trends and advancements in hardware technology

Requirements For Hardware Engineer - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field by August 2025
  • Experience with tools like oscilloscope, multi-meters, signal analyzers, CAD/PCB tools
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Assembly language, Shell scripting, Perl, or Python
  • Knowledge in areas such as Computer Architecture, VLSI, Digital/Analog Circuits, Microelectronics, etc.
  • Ability to read technical documents including electrical schematics
  • Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US
  • Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2025
  • Preferred: Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
