Oracle is seeking a Principal Cloud Solution Engineer to join their team in Chennai. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic customer engagement, requiring 15+ years of technology experience with at least 5 years in direct customer engagement or Presales roles. The ideal candidate will design and lead complex solutions, working with large-scale integrated systems that combine infrastructure, databases, middleware, and applications. They'll need expertise in building scalable architectures and familiarity with Oracle Database technologies. Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is required, with the ability to adapt to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role involves significant customer interaction, from gathering requirements to implementation, including conducting technical workshops and proofs of concept. Responsibilities For Principal Cloud Solution Engineer
- Engages with strategic customers and builds leadership relationships at multiple levels within organizations
- Gathers requirements, develops architectures and translates business needs into solutions
- Implements solutions through code development and scripting
- Delivers customized presentations and demonstrations to customers
- Supports customers from POC through production deployment
- Creates technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, video demonstrations)
- Identifies gaps and influences engineering roadmaps for customer-driven features
- Provides direction and mentoring to others
Requirements For Principal Cloud Solution Engineer
- 15+ years of overall technology experience with 5+ years in customer engagement or Presales roles
- Experience in designing and leading complex, large-scale integrated systems
- Expertise in building scalable, secure, and resilient architectures
- Knowledge of Oracle Database technologies and/or Exadata systems
- Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong business and commercial insight
- Ability to conduct technical workshops and proofs of concept
