Principal Software Engineer/DevOps

The SaaS Security Engineering team at Oracle is seeking a Principal Software Engineer/DevOps to join their team responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of data pipeline, detection engine, and case management software across 70+ regions worldwide. This role is critical in managing data from 600,000+ hosts while maintaining security and accessibility for over three years.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform, and deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, especially Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Strong expertise in container orchestration with Kubernetes, Docker, and hands-on experience with Apache Kafka are essential. The role requires proficiency in Python, GoLang, and Bash, along with proven experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

As a Principal Engineer, you'll lead efforts to improve service quality, automate processes, and provide technical leadership to junior team members. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for infrastructure and application management. The role includes participation in on-call rotation for critical incident response.
