Senior Cloud Operation Engineer

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Senior Cloud Operation Engineer to join their Compute organization, a core team responsible for providing critical compute power through VMs and BMs. This role involves maintaining the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle Cloud Services while solving complex infrastructure problems.

The position requires handling customer incident tickets, deploying software in test/production systems, and performing root cause analysis when issues arise. You'll be working with product teams on shared full stack ownership of services, understanding end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and behavioral characteristics of production services.

As a Senior Cloud Operation Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Managing and optimizing production environments including systems and databases
• Providing escalated technical support for complex issues
• Maintaining high availability of cloud services
• Implementing and improving automation processes
• Working with development teams to meet SLAs and unblock customers
• Participating in on-call rotation for critical support

The ideal candidate should have strong Linux administration skills, experience with cloud computing, and proficiency in scripting languages. Knowledge of monitoring tools, containerization, and system configuration tools is essential.
