Senior Cloud Operation Engineer

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to join their Compute organization, a core team responsible for providing VM and BM compute power. This role combines deep technical expertise with operational excellence in managing cloud infrastructure.

You'll be working with product teams on shared full-stack ownership of critical services, handling everything from configuration and technical dependencies to production service behavior. The position involves managing critical customer incidents, deployments, and improvements for security, performance, availability, and scalability.

As a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Managing and optimizing production environments including systems and databases
• Acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues
• Partnering with development teams to meet SLAs and unblock customers
• Implementing and maintaining automation and orchestration solutions
• Ensuring high availability and zero-downtime deployments
• Contributing to the growth and scale of Oracle's cloud infrastructure

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of IT experience, strong Linux administration skills, and expertise in cloud technologies, automation, and modern DevOps practices.
