Senior Data Engineer

Oracle Application Labs (OAL) runs Oracle's Enterprise Applications and is responsible for implementing, running, and improving nearly all of Oracle's Enterprise Applications including CRM, HCM, Financials, and SCM. We are seeking an experienced data engineer to join our OAL technology team to evolve and improve data movement, transformation, analysis, and management in Oracle's internal systems. The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies and contributing to all areas of the software delivery cycle from conception through production support. The position requires strong technical skills in data engineering, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work effectively in a global team environment. This is an opportunity to work on large-scale data systems while contributing to Oracle's core product innovation.

The successful candidate will be part of a team that uses Oracle's real-life business requirements as a testing ground for innovation, often developing extensions and custom applications that later become part of core products. You'll be working with state-of-the-art data technologies, including Oracle's Cloud platform services, and will be responsible for both development and operational aspects of data engineering.

Key focus areas include continuous improvement of data platforms, production operations, and application development support. You'll be involved in everything from platform feature proposals to performance optimization and helping other teams utilize the data platform effectively.
