Senior Network Developer 3 [NRB]

The Network Region Build (NRB) team is responsible for deploying greenfield infrastructure, establishing network connectivity for new Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) regions, and enabling compute connectivity for child sites. This team manages data center fabrics, edge networks, backbone, fiber metro networks, and supports multi-cloud initiatives.

The role involves designing, deploying, and operating large-scale global cloud networks, requiring deep understanding of network protocols and programming skills for automation at scale. As part of OCI's cloud network team, you'll support vast infrastructure spanning network devices and millions of connected servers across dedicated backbone and internet-based connectivity.

Key responsibilities include:

• Network lifecycle management through build/upgrade projects
• Technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers
• Developing and executing network changes safely
• Participating in network solution and architecture design
• Leading post-event root cause analysis
• Developing automation scripts and collaborating with network automation services
• Working with network vendors for bug resolution and system qualification

Required skills:

• Experience with large ISP or cloud provider environments
• Knowledge of networking protocols (BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, TCP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, MPLS)
• Python programming skills (or equivalent)
• Experience with network modeling and automation frameworks
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
