This role focuses on network fabric and systems development, requiring deep understanding of networking protocols and strong programming skills. The position involves working with hundreds of thousands of network devices supporting millions of servers across a global infrastructure. The ideal candidate will lead network lifecycle management, coordinate with multiple teams, and drive technological solutions while serving as a technical subject matter expert. Responsibilities For Senior Principal Network Developer
- Lead network lifecycle management programs
- Organize project technical milestones & supporting tasks
- Serve as technical SME in cross-functional activities
- Lead multiple engineers in developing network solutions
- Provide break-fix support for large-scale events
- Develop scripts to automate complex tasks
- Collaborate with vendor engineering and account manager
- Drive technology to meet product and service requirements
Requirements For Senior Principal Network Developer
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science preferred and at least 12 years of related experience
- Experience working in a large ISP or cloud provider environment
- Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and SSL
- Experience with Internet peering and inter-domain networking
- Experience with scripting or automation and datacenter design – Python preferred
- Knowledge of network security design, system performance characterization and testing
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
