Senior Software Development Engineer IDC VN Edge

Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure Core Services Development Team is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join their OCI Virtual Networking team. This role is part of a newly established team in India focused on developing state-of-the-art, distributed, and highly available virtual networking services.

The position involves working on critical infrastructure components including Virtual Cloud Network (VCN), VPN, Customer Cloud Connectivity, Service Gateways, and Network Firewall services. As a senior developer, you'll contribute to building complex distributed systems that interact with both end users and network infrastructure, using primarily Java-based development.

The role requires strong programming skills, particularly in Java, and the ability to write clean, optimized code for cloud deployment. You'll be responsible for developing algorithms to efficiently move data across distributed networks, supporting production environments, and participating in on-call rotations.

Working in an agile environment, you'll have the opportunity to design and implement modules independently, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior engineers.
