Description For Senior Technical Operations Engineer

Oracle is seeking a Senior Technical Operations Engineer to join their team building cloud-native platforms for Fusion Applications. This role requires strong Linux skills and focuses on supporting and troubleshooting Kubernetes-based infrastructure services globally. The position involves working closely with the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, understanding complex technical dependencies, and acting as the first escalation point for critical production issues. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience with Linux systems administration, Kubernetes cluster management, and strong troubleshooting skills. This is an opportunity to help build and shape a Tier1 Operations team from the ground up in a large-scale, multi-tenant cloud environment.

Responsibilities For Senior Technical Operations Engineer

Work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team on shared full stack ownership of services
Understand end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and behavioral characteristics of production services
Partner with development teams in defining and implementing improvements in Operations
Act as first escalation point for complex or critical issues
Responsible for initial triaging and coordination of production incidents
Support and troubleshoot kubernetes based infrastructure services globally

Requirements For Senior Technical Operations Engineer

Kubernetes

Linux

Experience in a support role in a large organisation
Industry qualifications on Linux & Kubernetes
Skills with Linux Systems Administration, building, configuring, performance tuning
Experience supporting, maintaining Kubernetes clusters
Troubleshooting and performance tuning skills on Linux & Kubernetes
Well versed with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, SSH)
