Senior Technical Operations Engineer

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Senior Technical Operations Engineer to join their Sovereign Cloud team. This role is crucial in building and operating government, classified, and sovereign cloud regions with the same reliability and high performance as their public cloud. The position involves managing production environments, including systems and databases that support critical business operations.

The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge with administration/analysis expertise in Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure to provide escalation support for complex production environment challenges. These challenges include managing immense growth, scaling, cloud leveraging, and maintaining extremely high performance and availability requirements.

Key aspects of the role include system optimization, technical support for complex issues, coordinating escalated support cases, and working with both internal teams and third-party vendors. The position requires participation in a 24/7 support rotation across day and night shifts, demonstrating the critical nature of the role in maintaining cloud operations.
