Description For Site Reliability Developer 3

Oracle is seeking a Site Reliability Developer 3 to join their team in Seattle. This role focuses on solving complex problems related to infrastructure cloud services and building automation to prevent problem recurrence. You'll be responsible for designing, writing, and deploying software to improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products and services.

As an SRE, you'll work on designing and developing architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems. You'll be involved in service capacity planning, demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning. The role requires a deep understanding of service topology and their dependencies to effectively troubleshoot issues and define mitigations.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience with strong skills in Python, Linux, and Kubernetes. You'll work closely with development teams to define and implement improvements in service architecture while maintaining a focus on security, resiliency, and performance.

Responsibilities For Site Reliability Developer 3

  • Work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team on shared full stack ownership of services
  • Design and deliver mission critical stack focusing on security, resiliency, scale, and performance
  • Partner with development teams in defining and implementing service architecture improvements
  • Act as ultimate escalation point for complex issues
  • Understand and communicate scale, capacity, security, and performance requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues and define mitigations using deep understanding of service topology
