We are looking for a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to join our OCI team. This role is part of a globally distributed team responsible for detecting, triaging, and mitigating OCI service-impacting events as quickly as possible. You will be part of one of these regional teams and will be responsible for minimising the downtime of OCI services.
As a Site Reliability Developer 4, you will be working with state-of-the-art cloud technology that's constantly evolving. Your responsibilities will include responding to incidents within minutes to minimize customer impact, interacting with leaders across Oracle, and driving broad, cross-organization programs aimed at improving OCI-wide service availability.

Responsibilities For Site Reliability Developer 4
- Solve complex problems related to infrastructure cloud services and automate common tasks
- Command and coordinate SMEs and service leaders during major incidents
- Utilize deep understanding of cloud computing design patterns
- Monitor and evaluate high-level service and infrastructure dashboards
- Define and document technical architecture of large-scale distributed systems
- Partner with development teams to define operational requirements
- Act as ultimate escalation point for complex issues
Requirements For Site Reliability Developer 4
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or relevant work experience
- 5+ years experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or System Engineering
- Public cloud operations experience (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)
- Experience with Major Incident Management in cloud environment
- Experience with modern object-oriented programming language
- Expertise with Infrastructure-as-a-Service, CI/CD systems, Docker, RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform)
