Site Reliability Developer 4

Are you looking to apply your skills contributing to a next generation of Database cloud services? The Autonomous Database Team at Oracle is seeking a Site Reliability Developer to join their team. This role is critical in building the cloud service framework powering various Oracle Autonomous Database cloud services, including Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP).

As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be responsible for defining and deploying autonomous database services with deep focus on architecture, production operations, capacity planning, performance management, deployment, and release engineering. The framework automates deployment, scaling and management of databases in the cloud, built on top of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Layer.

The position offers a unique opportunity to make significant contributions to the full stack of Oracle technology, from database kernel to cloud service platform and customer-facing portals. You'll work with multiple cross-functional teams helping deliver new and outstanding experiences while ensuring reliability and performance.

The ideal candidate should have 3-5+ years of experience, strong expertise in Python, Linux systems, and cloud infrastructure. You should be comfortable handling production operations, implementing automation, and working with database technologies. This role requires someone who stays calm under pressure and gets excited about solving complex problems related to uptime, horizontal scalability, performance, and security.
