Description For Software Developer (OCI Media)

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join their Media Services team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to solve challenging technical problems and contribute to cloud services that will enable animation, film, and game development studios to migrate their production pipeline to the cloud.

The team is responsible for developing new cloud services focused on the digital media production industry, including virtual animation workstation service, digital asset management, high-performance storage, render farm as a service, and production pipeline management services. This is a ground-up opportunity to build competitive offerings and extend OCI's reach in the media and entertainment industry.

You'll work with talented software developers, designing scalable, highly available cloud services in a world-class development environment. The role requires strong fundamentals in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems, along with proficiency in object-oriented programming languages.

Key technical areas include:

  • Building highly available, distributed services
  • Working with microservice-based architectures
  • Experience with major cloud providers
  • Knowledge of media production workflows (beneficial)
