Description For Engineering Manager - Apollo Platform

Palantir Technologies is seeking an Engineering Manager for their Apollo Platform team. Apollo enables autonomous management and continuous deployment of mission-critical software across various environments, from on-premise to cloud providers and even air-gapped systems. As an Engineering Manager, you'll lead a team focused on multi-tenant customer workflows, security constraints, customer onboarding, and usage metering for billing. You'll integrate security and compliance into the DevOps toolchain, balancing user-friendliness with robust controls.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in software engineering and 2+ years of leadership experience. You should have a deep systems background, value technical excellence, and be able to lead cross-team engineering efforts. You'll be responsible for mentoring and growing your team, collaborating across departments, and contributing to long-term technical roadmaps.

Responsibilities For Engineering Manager - Apollo Platform

  • Lead a team of engineers and accelerate their growth
  • Identify and grow leaders within the teams
  • Partner with senior engineers to build and champion a long-term tech roadmap
  • Collaborate across teams to prioritize, build and align strategies
  • Enable workflows for multi-tenant customers
  • Establish and enforce security constraints
  • Develop workflows for customer onboarding experience
  • Facilitate self-serve management and usage metering for billing

Requirements For Engineering Manager - Apollo Platform

Kubernetes
  • 6+ years in software engineering or similar role
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience contributing to system design and architecture
  • Demonstrated track record of successful mentorship
  • Ability to partner effectively with other teams
  • Ability to run a high-paced product development team across multiple locations and timezones
