Description For Founding Engineer - Applied AI

Parity is the AI SRE for Incident Response, focused on making on-call a thing of the past. As a founding applied AI engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing and expanding our core AI features. You'll work directly with the founders in our Downtown SF office, taking ownership of scoping, developing, testing, and shipping new AI capabilities to customers.

We're building AI agents that autonomously investigate, triage, root-cause, and remediate infrastructure issues. Our early customer adoption shows strong product-market fit and we're positioned to define an emerging category in the SRE/DevOps space.

The role requires someone who can balance technical excellence with pragmatic execution. You'll need to move quickly while maintaining high quality standards, working in a fast-paced startup environment. Your work will directly impact how engineering teams handle incident response and on-call duties.

We're backed by top-tier investors including Y Combinator, General Catalyst, and Sugar Free Capital, along with angels from companies like Midjourney and Crusoe. This funding and support provides us the runway to tackle ambitious technical challenges in AI and infrastructure automation.

This is an opportunity to join a promising early-stage startup, work with cutting-edge AI technology, and help shape the future of DevOps and site reliability engineering. You'll have significant influence over technical decisions and product direction while working alongside experienced founders who have backgrounds in infrastructure and systems engineering.

The role is based in our San Francisco office, allowing for close collaboration with the team and rapid iteration on ideas. We're looking for someone who is excited by the challenges of early-stage startups and wants to make a meaningful impact on how engineering teams handle infrastructure incidents.
