The position involves working with large-scale systems processing petabyte-plus data, integrating with various APIs in real-time while maintaining high availability. The tech stack includes Java, Kafka, Spark, Oracle, React, and Key Value stores. The role offers a hybrid work model with 3 days in office and 2 days flexible. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in backend development, data structures, and algorithms, with 5+ years of server-side development experience. Responsibilities For Software Engineer
- Design and implement highly available and scalable back-end software components in Java
- Develop automated tests and deliver high quality code to production
- Participate in design, code reviews and documentation
- Fix bugs and resolve production issues
- Work effectively with globally distributed teams
- Deep dive into PayPal's compliance systems and algorithms
Requirements For Software Engineer
- Strong OOP skills and ability to analyze requirements
- At least 5+ years of solid server-side development
- Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience with REST API's, Web Services, Unit Testing
- Experience with Java, Spark, front end technologies (preferred)
- Experience with business rule management systems like Drools (preferred)
