PayPal is seeking a Staff Engineer – Full Stack to join their Performance Engineering team in Chennai, India. This role combines full-stack development with a strong focus on backend systems, making it perfect for technical leaders passionate about building high-performance solutions. The position requires 8+ years of full-stack development experience and deep expertise in both frontend (JavaScript, React) and backend (Java/J2EE) technologies. You'll be responsible for leading platform development efforts, driving the Shift Left strategy, and advancing the platform's capabilities in delivering reliable, optimized performance solutions.

The Performance Engineering Team focuses on system efficiency, scalability, and reliability through automated performance products. You'll work on developing tools for continuous profiling, latency monitoring, and automated bottleneck detection, enabling seamless performance insights at scale. The role involves collaborating across engineering domains to drive optimization initiatives and improve resource efficiency.
