Staff Software Engineer

PermitFlow's mission is to streamline and simplify construction permitting in the $1.6 trillion United States construction market. Our software reduces time to permit, supporting permitting end-to-end including permit research, application preparation, submission, and monitoring.

We've raised a $31m Series A led by Kleiner Perkins with participation from Initialized Capital, Y Combinator, Felicis Ventures, Altos Ventures, and the founders and executives from Zillow, PlanGrid, Thumbtack, Bluebeam, Uber, Procore, and more.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll be part of our lean but mighty engineering team. You'll own end-to-end projects, talk with customers, and support PermitFlow's growth. Key responsibilities include:

• Full Stack Development: Architect and implement scalable solutions using React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• System Architecture: Make high-level decisions on technology choices and scalability
• Leadership: Conduct code reviews and mentor team members
• Frontend Development: Create intuitive interfaces and ensure seamless UX
• Backend Development: Work with Postgres and optimize server-side components
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers and designers

We're looking for someone with:

• Extensive fullstack development experience, preferably in startups
• Deep knowledge of our tech stack
