Pinkoi is seeking a Backend Engineer to join their e-commerce platform focused on design products. The role involves building and maintaining the technical infrastructure that powers their marketplace, which connects designers and brands with customers worldwide.
As a Backend Engineer at Pinkoi, you'll be responsible for creating memorable user experiences through technical excellence. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of backend development experience and strong programming skills, particularly in Python. While the company primarily uses Python, they welcome developers experienced in other programming languages. You should have a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, Linux operating systems, and cluster-based services.

Responsibilities For Backend Engineer
- Produce high-quality, stable, maintainable, and readable code with good automated testing practices
- Collaborate smoothly with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, frontend engineers, app engineers, and data engineers
- Quickly identify and fix system issues
- Continuously improve system architecture, performance, and stability
- Write technical documentation and share knowledge to enhance product development experience
- Bring new technologies and innovative ideas to the team
Requirements For Backend Engineer
- 2+ years of backend development experience with ability to independently develop and maintain systems
- Strong programming skills (mainly Python, but open to other programming languages)
- Basic understanding of data structures and algorithms and their impact on program performance
- Basic understanding of Linux operating system, especially regarding processes and threads
- Basic understanding of cluster-based services (MySQL cluster, Vitess, Elasticsearch, Redis cluster, MongoDB, Spark, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with team members
- Self-motivated with high standards and sense of responsibility
