Responsibilities For Application Engineer (Junior Level)
- Designs and develops methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured data sources
- Develops and uses advanced software programs, algorithms, querying, and automated processes
- Facilitates the integration of cloud-based data solutions
- Integrates new project data sources with USSOCOM data classification and protection tools
- Implement and monitor database security measures
- Monitor the performance of databases
- Manage data migrations, upgrades, and patch installations for database systems
Requirements For Application Engineer (Junior Level)
- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for CI/Polygraph
- Minimum three (3) + years of experience in application development or engineering
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and cloud-based data solutions
- Familiarity with data integration, cleansing, and automation tools
- Solid understanding of database management systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data security protocols
- Experience with data migration, upgrades, and patch management in complex environments
- Knowledge of DoD security standards, including encryption, access control, and audit trails
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and methodologies
