- Lead a team of engineers for benchmarking requirements and metrics for FlashArray products
- Research and develop performance benchmarking strategies for product features
- Provide technical direction and mentoring to team members
- Collaborate with product managers, solutions and sales engineering
- Validate customer scenarios and requirements
Requirements For Performance Engineering Lead - FlashArray
- MS in Computer Science or related technical field, BS with comparable experience
- 6+ years of experience in system level performance testing for servers, storage and databases
- Knowledge of SAN iSCSI, NFS, SMB protocols
- Experience in systems performance analysis using CPU profiling, tracing and standard Linux tools
- Experience in running benchmarks, analyzing results, and communicating findings
- Extensive knowledge of operating system, scheduling policies, locking primitives, data structures, x86 hardware architecture
- Strong experience with Linux systems
- Experience with Python and C++
- Knowledge of NAND flash and FIO (preferred)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
