Qualcomm is seeking an experienced Power Systems Engineer to join their team in San Diego, focusing on solving power challenges and developing innovative solutions for next-generation Snapdragon automotive chipsets. Responsibilities For Power Systems Engineer

  • Lead cross-functional engineering team to model SOC/chipset power
  • Develop innovative solutions to optimize hardware and software
  • Power architecture and tradeoff analysis
  • Chipset and system level power modeling, analysis and optimization
  • Identify power requirements and quantify power gap/risk areas
  • Guide multi-function groups through the design cycle
  • Design power features and work with cross functional teams
  • Customer interaction and requirements gathering
  • Power modeling of customer-specific use cases and designs

Requirements For Power Systems Engineer

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field
  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • Experience in analysis and design of low power features at SOC, chipset or platform level
  • Architectural knowledge in application processor, modem processor, AR/XR, machine learning, automotive or computing
  • System knowledge of automotive SOC or chipset
  • Experience in hardware or software design or optimizations of low power features
  • System level power modeling and analysis expertise
  • Understanding of machine learning networks for Automotive applications is a plus
