As a Chipset Systems Architect, you'll be responsible for researching, designing, developing, and validating cutting-edge systems-level hardware and software solutions. The position requires deep expertise in various interfaces (USB, PCIe, SD/eMMC, etc.) and extensive experience in the PC or IoT industry. You'll work with cross-functional teams to develop system-level designs, evaluate interface signaling, and propose solutions for complex technical challenges.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of systems engineering experience and a master's degree in a relevant field. You'll need comprehensive knowledge of power delivery systems, component selection, and various SoC functional areas. Your role will involve collaborating with design teams, software teams, reliability experts, and customer engineering to deliver innovative solutions.

This position offers an attractive compensation package ranging from $192,600 to $289,000, plus competitive benefits including health coverage, annual bonuses, and RSU grants. Responsibilities For Chipset Systems Architect

  • Evaluate Industrial customer asks and propose chipset solutions
  • Develop and analyze system level design
  • Evaluate interface signaling for clock, data, sideband requirements
  • Evaluate signal integrity needs and identify architecture for high-speed interfaces
  • Understand power requirements and propose suitable powering schemes
  • Collaborate with teams to complete project work
  • Perform functional analysis to drive requirements and specifications
  • Review internal and customer board schematics
  • Develop new and innovative ideas
  • Drive triage of problems at the system level

Requirements For Chipset Systems Architect

Linux
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
  • 15+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience
  • Expert knowledge of interfaces (USB, PCIe, SD/eMMC, UFS, LPDDRx, CSI, DSI, SPI, I2C, I3C, PMBUS, SPMI, Slimbus etc)
  • 10+ years of experience working in PC or IoT industry
  • Knowledge of commercial, industrial and home automation systems
  • Experience with full product lifecycle
  • Familiarity with software stack and hardware-software dependencies
  • In depth knowledge of power delivery, PDN, component selection
  • Good domain knowledge of 2 or more functional areas of SoCs
  • Exposure to 4G/5G/6G systems and associated cellular standards
